Wearing a new(ish)
In a further statement of commitment to democracy, junta appointed ‘prime minister’ General Surayud Chulanont has warned that campaigning to reject the proposed new constitution could be illegal (http://www.nationmultimedia.com/2007/07/03/headlines/headlines_30039049.php). The entire cabinet of Thaksin Shinawatra, elected in a democratic landslide and then re-elected twice more, is to be charged for implementing democratically-mandated policies (http://www.bangkokpost.com/News/03Jul2007_news01.php). This latest charge is to do with the two and three number lottery which the military government decided to continue with. Of course, that is a quite different story.
