Good morning,
The ‘third force’ in Thai politics is about to be launched, possibly today (http://www.nationmultimedia.com/2007/09/11/headlines/headlines_30048529.php). The Pua Paendin or ‘For the Motherland’ party which will run on a manifesto of: “"Building the nation, maintaining religion and safeguarding the monarchy.” This party, it is expected, will become the home of junta leaders who intend to maintain their grip on politics into the future, not least because they will need to protect themselves against future prosecution for the acts leading up to September 19th last year.
