PAD Disaster Continues

Good morning,

It is the usual story: a secret deal among the dark forces that have ruined Thailand for centuries. The PAD thugs have announced victory after the junta’s judges dissolved the main political parties and claim they will leave the airports free so that the upper classes can pretend National Day and all’s well. Next week, the PAD thugs will start again and then there will almost certainly be a coup. Of course, it is illegal to criticize court decisions and many other things and I would not dream of doing so.

International readers would expect that the ringleaders of the illegal occupation of the airports (an act of terrorism according to the law) would now be arrested, as well as those who highjacked buses, shot at passers-by, assaulted and attempted to murder police officers and other acts of violent thuggery. Any good news going about? No.

Back – well, not sure. I’m due to go to Singapore tomorrow evening on the 9:15 flight but that means going to U Tapao – it is recommended to leave from Bangkok seven hours from the time of the flight. So, I’m teaching in the morning and should be back here by one so intend to leave from here straight away. Jetstar has no check-in desk at BITEC but there are buses from there and I have confirmed the flight. Let’s see how it goes. Friday is the National Day Celebration so I will be at the Thai Embassy most of the day (morning will be repairing various things) and then who knows what the weekend and the flight home holds? Monday at the latest, then.
