Well, it looks like the fix is in – over the weekend, a well-known leader of the army has been negotiating with coalition allies of the former PPP party and someone with deep pockets has been paying (it is alleged) 40 million baht per MP to cause some to switch to a Democrat-led coalition. We face the dismal prospect that workshy quisling Abhisit Vejjajiva, a man wholly unfit for public office, will be made PM by secret hands (not that secret actually but illegal to name) working behind the scenes – bottom of the list of priorities, what the Thai people have repeatedly voted for.
Under Abhisit’s disgraceful leadership, the once-proud Democrat Party has become increasingly linked with the violent fascist PAD movement, with leading Democrats speaking on the fascist platform. His list of bone-idle failures is lengthy and there is no doubt the Thai people would never vote to give him a majority in a fair system.
If the lazy quisling Abhisit, who was very happy with the 2006 coup, ever does become Prime Minister, expect the usual failed policies of the past to be taken up again – it will be a dark day for the poor and the working classes of
